Once upon a time, it was career suicide for entertainers to express political preferences. Things have changed. And that’s a good thing.

These days, celebrities speak up, speak out, stand up, march, and express their opinions loudly and proudly. As they should. The people who criticize celebrities for speaking up about politics are missing the point.

First, they are citizens of this nation, too. They have the same rights as the rest of Americans. And second, they care what happens to our country. They don’t have to, but they do.

They could sit back, with their fame and large fortunes, and say, “Let them (us) eat cake.”

We tend to think, or rather assume that the celebs who speak out were once starving artists, and they remember where they came from. Not necessarily so.

Many of the celebrities who make a point of standing up for political issues, did not come from poor backgrounds. Some are Ivy League educated, with professional parents who provided them with comfortable childhoods. And still, they care about this nation and the people without a voice.

The bottom line here, is that the celebrities who speak out for fairness, justice, and equality for all Americans are good citizens. They are compassionate humanitarians, who do not mind risking their reputations and careers, and yes, bank accounts, to help ensure that our nation thrives and survives.

In a sense, they are the true guardians of Democracy and Freedom. There are people in this nation who would probably never bother voting, or never realize they have options, until someone they recognize and relate to informs them of those options.

It is not a celebrity’s “duty” to care and make a difference. And, they’re actions are not coming from a selfish agenda, i.e. if we, their fans, are crushed economically, spiritually, etc., then how can we support their art: go see their movies, buy their records…

No. The objective is coming from a pure place: What is right and what is wrong. Fair elections. Unbiased legislation. Keeping political corruption at bay. Protecting our freedoms and constitutional rights. Saving our country and the citizens of this country and the rest of the world.

They have a Voice, because they have recognizable faces and names. And they use them for good.

So Thank YOU, Leo and George, Brad and Don, Scarlett and Tina, Diddy, Barbra, Spielberg, J.T., Cameron, Angelina, Jen A., Ellen, Madonna, The View!, and all the other famous faces and names that cared about us, The United States, and our world at large.

You didn’t have to. But you did. Let’s hope you continue to do so, because the world needs you.

What? That’s unheard of. Why give taxpayer’s large sums of money? They wouldn’t know what to do with it. They’d just go out and spend it on “personal” stuff and Not re-invest it in the national interest, right?

Except…that is what the initiative is all about, to spark the economy so that spending will continue. Except … if U.S. citizens are burdened with new debt, by bailing out rich people, they will not be in a position to spend. And why is it so important for US citizens to worry about not being able to ge tloans? Isn’t that just more indebtedness? Mmmmm.

Debt is an ugly, ugly, ugly cycle. Ain’t nuttin’ nice ’bout it. It is the manifestation of negative energy, aka evil, which is the definition of “causing or threatening distress or harm; a source of sorrow; calamity”.

Debt is a cosmic black hole created to maintain control of and eventually, swallow up it’s victims, in this case, the masses. Because once you’re in the “credit” hole, it was conceived that you will always be in the “credit” hole, good or bad. No matter how much money you have, you will always be seduced to need more — and that will invite credit.

And someone(s) established this euchred system as the foundation for our economic survival. It’s sort of like a curse, you know, “A Pox upon your house!”, or a plague, a serpent, a spider web, an addiction. Was there no other way?

CROWE made a stunning proposal, half-jokingly, as a possible resolution for our economic crisis. He said: “that there are relatively *300 million Americans. And the bail out was asking for $700 billion. Why not give 3 billion of that to taxpayers, averaging out to about one mill per person?”

There was a small applause, but mostly shock. We, the people, are not accustomed to concepts that would actually level the playing field. The idea made too much sense, something else we are not accustomed to.

First, it would allow Americans to be in a position to invest as a whole, remove large sums of personal debt, and an opportunity to start over. Really start over. For all economic levels. There would be no more poverty. At least for a while in this country. But think of the possibilities worldwide. We really are do-gooders.

Second, since it is possible that the money for the bail out will come from taxpayers in the long term, and taxpayers are already struggling, there is no guarantee that the debt will be repaid. Unless We, the people, are forced to pay more and more taxes, oppressed under more debt and rising costs and inflation. Recession and a Depression is inevitable this route. Especially if they are just “printing up new money”.

Third, the majority of Americans are responsible for the money being available in the first place, and not just the rich. It’s the rich (or rather a good number of them) who have misused, mismanaged, greedied it away, living large and in charge. Now, it’s our turn, the 99 percent, to stop giving and start receiving and living large. The rich will
always be rich.

There’s a responsible way to allot these monies to avert waste. Damage control.

We wouldn’t receive the money all at once. Think about it. Junkies would OD on a massive scale. And large numbers of people would spend it so fast, it would truly be a waste.

Of course, there are minds more advanced and capable to construct a better plan, but here’s a plausible start:

Every person would have to invest $100 grand towards Wall St. investments. Let’s add that up. 300 million people investing $100 grand. Uh, duh, let’s see…that would be…uh…you have calculators. Anyway, they wouldn’t see that money because it would go straight to the source, like taxes.

After that, each allotment would be a certain amount annually per person, like the lottery. Probably starting around $25,000 per person. The rest would be placed in
various government bonds, trusts, estates, bank accounts, etc., which no one could actually touch. It would earn interest, while banks use it to do what they usually do,
invest it, loan it, whatever.

Would that cause millions of people to walk off of their jobs? Or millions more to simply live off the allotment, tax free? (It’s the Australian way.) And, it’s probably more than a lot of current salaries.

Or, would it ignite more spending? More qualifications for loans, small businesses, college educations, purchase homes and afford them, pursue dreams, shopping? If spending is what they want consumers to do, then this would allow
spending as well as investing. For the first time in history, the 99 percent would not just be giving to the rich, excluded from the American Dream, but in charge of
their lives.

Too idealistic you say? It’s what is being done, has always been done, and will probably continue to be done for the truly wealthy among us. Make no mistake, we’ve been duped throughout history by the policies and procedures that maintain a permanent underclass, in order for the wealthy to remain so.

It’s a shocking and daring proposal. But so is giving $700 billion dollars without American citizens being able to vote on that plan.

Which comes to another proposal. Voters get to vote on most legislation. Why are they not getting a vote on the biggest economic proposition in history? A proposition that they will pay for.

Therefore, instead of putting a “rush” on this plan, like the Iraq War, let’s slow this thing down. Ask a few more questions instead of panicking and feeling helpless and hopeless.

For instance, how many of “us” have had an opportunity to go over this plan? Probably none. We’re just being “told” about it.

So, here’s the deal: No Deal until we say it’s a deal.

It’s easy. It’s honest. And it’s fair.

Present the plan to American citizens. Place the full material in the Sunday newspaper, make copies available online, at libraries, at post offices, etc. Give American’s a few days to read it, investigate it, talk it over. Then, hold a special televised program, like the debates, or presidential speeches, where Bush, McCain, Obama, the treasury guy, especially Pelosi, and some top financial expert — and have them explain everything, line by line to the American people.

Then, and only then, set a date for a special election where WE get to vote on this bail out. Yea or Nay. And the final results will speak for themselves, unless chads get stuck and ballots get lost, and we have to start recounts, etc. etc. etc.

What a concept, huh? It’s scary and most American’s will be hesitant because we are not use to taking responsibility for our own lives. We have been trained, programmed, and conditioned to look to our leaders to deceive us, lie to us, cheat us, and keep us in our place.

We look to them like they are our parents. We think of them as our “deadbeat” dads (and moms). We expect them to disappoint us, make us promises so that we can keep hope alive. We like living on a hope and a prayer. It’s what
we are accustomed to.

And then, let us down, so they we can complain and bicker amongst ourselves. Blame one another. That always works. That almighty divide. It works everytime, has worked for all time, and unless we change it, it will continue to work forever.

We have poverty because we accept poverty. The wealthy are rich, because they demand it. We like having idols, and people to look up to, and we need to have people to look down on, to look up to us. It’s ego. We like feeling special and better than others. And we like having something to aspire to.

With that said. The balls in your court.

Of course he is confident. We have been too afraid to ever turn him down. And even if we say no, he has always gone ahead and done whatever he wanted, generally at our expense.

They gave us a “whole week” to pay attention and say no way. But as usual, we chose panic instead of common sense.

This blog is not “out there” yet, in the thick of things, but Ariana Huffington, if you’re listening — pass this on…

In the past eight years, when has Mr. Bush asked for billions and trillions of dollars that found it’s way back to the people it belonged to? Except for the Elite One Percent, how many of us are better off now than we were before this administration?
“They” are not struggling financially, or losing homes, and their children are not being mangled and killed in a foreign country, fighting a war that most US Citizens are still not clear as to why we are there.

The truth? Nothing they have done has improved our lives. If Congress is in confusion about the legitimacy of this astronomical amount of bail out, why would we go ahead and okay this?

Mr. Bush has been telling us that the economy was just fine. All the while, incurring huge debt and deficts, borrowing like crazy from China.

So were the companies being invested in on Wall Street reporting false earnings all this time? Or, was there a sudden and shocking downturn this last quarter that sent everything topsy turvey?

Suggestion: Launch a longer investigation as to what happened, then get back to us with the facts, report it loudly and clearly, and let the people of this nation decide by a special election as to what should be done. $700 Billion is a lot of money for taxpayers to just give away in a rush of panic. It’s reminiscent of how Mr. Bush just ignored everyone and just bullied his way into a war.

Remember, we allowed it because we were told there was clear evidence of “weapons of mass destruction”…and then there were no such evidence. We were supposed to be going after Bin Laden for attacking our country. And then we were suddenly going after Iraq for those illusive weapons. And now, we’re shelving out unheard of money for corrupt Executives.

Are we all sedated? Nancy Reagan said it best: JUST SAY NO!

Senate leader: Significant progress on bailout
By CHARLES BABINGTON (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press
September 27, 2008 1:05 PM EDT
WASHINGTON – Congressional leaders said Saturday they hoped to reach an agreement on a multibillion-dollar bailout plan for the financial sector before the markets open Monday, even if House and Senate votes would come later.

“The goal is to come up with a final agreement by tomorrow,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said during an unusual weekend session of Congress. “We may not be able to do that, but we’re trying very hard.”

He said he hoped for an announcement by 6 p.m. EDT (2200 GMT) Sunday, just hours before the Asian markets open again. “Everybody is waiting for this thing to tip a little bit too far,” he said, so “we may not have another day.”

President George W. Bush expressed confidence that lawmakers soon would approve a rescue plan. He acknowledged that many Americans are frustrated and angry that up to $700 billion in tax dollars may be needed to cover Wall Street firms’ mistakes.

The bailout is intended to rescue bankers from bad loans that threaten to derail the economy and plunge the country into a long depression. Lawmakers likened the situation to a major car wreck that has backed up traffic – credit, in this case – for miles (kilometers). The rescue is meant to remove the wreckage so credit can start moving to borrowers again.

The main sticking point is with conservative Republican lawmakers in the House of Representatives. They object to several parts of the Bush administration’s approach, developed largely by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

Negotiators on Saturday sought to accommodate enough of their demands to entice a reasonable number of House Republicans to back the eventual plan, which is nearly certain to be unpopular with many voters.

Democrats and administration officials said they were willing to include the House Republicans’ idea of having the government insure distressed mortgage-backed securities – but only as an option, not a replacement for the broader idea of buying outright those toxic securities.

“There may be a way in which that could be accommodated as part of the toolbox” available to the Treasury Department, South Dakota Sen. John Thune said after Republican senators were briefed on the negotiations. “As a practical matter, that can’t be the engine that drives this bill.”

Negotiators also discussed phasing in the program’s costs. For example, after the first $350 billion is made available, Congress could try to block later amounts, which could total an additional $350 billion, if it believed the program was not working. The president presumably could veto such a move, however, requiring extra large margins in the House and Senate to override.

Some Democrats still want a provision allowing bankruptcy judges to rewrite mortgages to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. Thune said that would be “a deal-breaker” for Republicans.

The compromise legislation that seemed to be emerging Saturday “is not the proposal that we got from Secretary Paulson,” Reid said. But lawmakers said it would be much closer to Paulson’s original plan than to the alternative offered by House Republicans several days ago.

Some House Republicans continued to resist a plan that might move quickly once drafted and might include only modest portions of their alternative.

“There must be no rush to misjudgment regarding this critical threat to America’s economic future for generations to come,” said Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, a Michigan Republican. “All Americans want responsible progress toward a positive, pro-taxpayer solution.”

The debate has divided Republicans more so than Democrats, with Bush struggling to salvage the main elements of his plan from attacks by members of his own party.

Some Republicans have taunted Democrats, saying Democrats could pass the bill without Republican help because they control both the House and Senate. With the Nov. 4 election only weeks away, Democrats have refused to push anything that appears to be a sharply partisan plan, which Republicans could then use against them. Even some Republicans have defended them.

“You can’t have a deal” on an issue this large when “a large part of the body” refuses to go along, Sen. Lindsey Graham. a South Carolina Republican, said in an interview.

New details emerged over the weekend of a remarkably tumultuous White House meeting on the bailout Thursday. With the session breaking up in disarray, according to two participants, Bush issued an appeal, saying, “Can’t we just all go out and say things are OK?”

The group around the table, which included congressional leaders and the presidential nominees-Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama -spurned the request. The participants spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting was private.

In an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll, only 30 percent of those surveyed expressed support for Bush’s package. Forty-five percent were opposed, with 25 percent undecided. The survey was conducted Thursday and had a margin of error or plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.

Politicians are dilly dallying on this bail out “crime” because they are waiting to see if we are asleep, and if they can get away with it.

If we don’t say anything, you know, like demonstrate some sign of righteous outrage, some semblance that we are paying attention, then ….WATCH! They will steal 700 BILLION DOLLARS from us and give it to themselves before the week is up.

That is why they are playing the rush game on us, like cheezy salesmen, “Buy now or it will be gone!”

Intimidation, scare tactics, “Great Depression” Oh No! Take the money, take the money. Please TAKE THE MONEY and RUN back to your mansions and yachts and send your offspring to Ivy League campuses this fall without a financial worry. And send our offspring to war to steal and kill for you. That’s the ticket.

Back in the 70’s Teddy Pendagrass crooned:

“Wake up everybody, no more sleeping in bed. It’s time for thinking instead… No more war and poverty…And they don’t have so very long before their Judgement Day.”

Sing it again Teddy. Louder this time. Because the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Maybe one day, we will wake up. Sooner than later. Because these guys are out of control. And why not? We are just standing back watching like casual observers. But what can we do really?

Mmmmm. Any ideas?

Are we headed for another Great Depression? Or worse, is the U.S. descending headlong into a Third World future? Or, is it all just Hype?

Can we prevent our worse fears from happening?

First, we need to stop the stealing. Unfortunately, we just can’t seem to find the time to get these cattlemen in line. We’re too distracted with our lives.

For instance, do you ever feel as though someone keeps moving the finish line?

Like, just when you think you’re about to catch up with, say — your bills, your work, some long, drawn out “issue” that just never seems to give an inch or go away, like a legal matter, say — a divorce, or a custody battle, or those pesky student loans, family squabbles?

And then something happens to just pull you back under. Like there is this grand conspiracy to just keep you distracted with petty, mindnumbing, BS! You know?

Maybe you don’t know. Maybe you’re one of the lucky few whose life is just rolling along on a highway to heaven, blue skies, bright sun, just enough rain. There you are whistling, smiling, happy go lucky you. Wink Wink. All XOXO.

It’s like there are these two parallel universes — one with people who keep getting close to the finish line, and it disappears, and they have to start over or keep going around in a circle to nowhere; and the other universe is filled with people who see the finish line clearly, cross it and move on to their next success.

The first group keeps glimpsing over at the second group and wondering “how did they get in that universe, that’s where I want to be”. And the second group looks back every once in awhile at the first group and thinks “how did they get in that situation, why can’t they get their act together? God never let me go there!”

It’s not like the first group of people are all unlucky. Because that first group represents most people. It’s more like, there’s a secret that the majority of the people don’t have access to. There’s some key to some door you can walk through, some ingredient that will make it all come together. And the second group keeps pretending to share that information, but it never quite works out, like they’ve left something out on purpose.

Because that is what the world feels like, especially on the political scene. There are these people who have always been on the right track, and they are smiling at us and telling us “this and that with a rattle a tat”, and like Jack Johnson sings in his song “Good People”:

“you win, it’s your show,
tell me what’s it gonna be?
people will tune in,
but how many train wrecks do we have to see,
before we lose touch, it’s bad, getting worse…
turn on the boob tube, I’m in the mood to obey, lead me astray…
where’d all the good people go?”

As Arsenio Hall use to say…”Things that make you go Hmmm”

How did the stock market suddenly go belly up just months before this administration ends it’s reign, some might say of terror? Other’s might say of greed. While still other’s might think it’s been a glorious ride of good deeds for the world. Mostly because the rich got stinky, funky rich, and they would be among that group.

It is undeniably the truth, that since Bush and Cheney took office, they have been demanding astronomical amounts of money…trillions of dollars for a war no one wanted, but them. And now 700 billion dollars for money that just disappeared down a rabbit hole. Where is that damn rabbit hole? Anybody?

Recent AP Headlines:

Bush asks Congress for $700 billion for bailout
By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press

And they are experts at getting people to believe that if they don’t give them the money, our world will come to an abrupt and devastating end.

September 20, 2008 8:30 AM EDT
WASHINGTON – The Bush administration is asking Congress to let the government buy $700 billion in bad mortgages as part of the largest financial bailout since the Great Depression.
WASHINGTON (AP) – A half-trillion dollar bailout that the Bush administration and Congress are negotiating this weekend for faltering financial institutions could unload their bad debt on the government, and in turn the taxpayer.
Economists see financial bailout as necessary

By MARTIN CRUTSINGER (AP Economics Writer)
From Associated Press
September 20, 2008 4:25 PM EDT
WASHINGTON – The economy could suffer a massive hangover from the government’s efforts to rescue the financial system in the form of a soaring debt burden. But the alternatives look infinitely worse.Bush says entire economy in danger without action

From Associated Press
September 24, 2008 8:17 PM EDT
WASHINGTON – Pressing urgently for a massive financial bailout, President Bush says the nation faces a “long and painful recession” if Congress fails to act. He says “our entire economy is in danger.”

Speaking in dire terms, Bush pushed for a $700 billion government rescue plan during a prime-time address to the nation. His move was aimed at explaining the package to the American public, but also to keep pressure on frustrated and angry lawmakers to work out a bipartisan deal fast.
Bush said the goal is to help the government buy up troubled assets so that credit can start flowing again and the economy will rebound.
He said the rescue is aimed at helping the country, not individual companies.

How could we turn them down? They are in the happy universe, where we all want to be. They know something, and if we can just keep listening to them long enough and following them, they will open the door and let the rest of us — in the sad and miserable and struggling universe, where the finish line keeps moving — into their happy universe.

Here’s a tidbit: most of us were not even aware that billions and trillions of dollars were just sitting there, waiting for someone to just ask for it. But they knew. And they are getting it.

The question is, where did it come from, are they just printing it up, or did we put that much money into the pot? Cause no one ever reports how much money is actually collected every year?

And the final tidbit: If we give them this last big pot of money, we will be headed for a Third World existence? Will they have successfully stolen everything? Will there be nothing left. (is there more…and where is it?)

Or will there just be us, fighting one another, divided, mad, scared witless, destitute and …po? Broke and PO!

But mostly scared. and with good reason:

From Associated PressSeptember 24, 2008 6:17 PM EDT
WASHINGTON – Bruce Ivins, the Army scientist accused of carrying out the 2001 anthrax attacks, e-mailed himself last year saying he knew who the killer was, according to court documents unsealed Wednesday.
“Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!!! I finally know who mailed the anthrax letters in the fall of 2001. I’ve pieced it together!” Ivins wrote in the e-mail dated Sept. 7, 2007, according to an FBI affidavit.
“I’m not looking forward to everybody getting dragged through the mud, but at least it will all be over,” Ivins allegedly wrote. “Finally! I should have it TOTALLY nailed down within the month. I should have been a private eye!!!!”
The e-mail did not say who Ivins thought was the anthrax killer.
Ivins committed suicide in July as prosecutors prepared to charge him in the mailings that killed five people and sickened 17 others.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. The Suits are gonna get you!
Men In Black know something, man. Maybe they are all alien squids in human disguise.

And that would almost be a relief.

John Lennon said it best:
“If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there’d be peace.”

Interpretation: it’s up to us, the masses, to monitor what political leaders do to us financially, politically, and ethically; and how they treat other countries, in the name of this nation. It’s up to us to convince our leaders to choose Peace and not war. If that is what we want.

It makes sense that after 9/11, we wanted justice. We wanted the culprits caught and tried and punished.

But according to the popular choice, no one wanted war. Especially after the alleged “weapons of mass destruction” never materialized. So why did we end up in Iraq, do we really know? And are we satisfied with that choice? If not, why is it still going on?

The upcoming Presidential nomination weighs heavy on everyone, worldwide. No one wants another Election 2000. An openly international embarassment. Since Election 2000, we are far from a “United” States. We are divided on just about everything. How do we find our way back to the strong, reputable land of freedom and democracy for all?

Maybe the question is not what do we want, but what do we need — as a nation? What’s most important to us?

We should begin by taking a look at where we are as a nation after the past eight years. The most volatile era since Viet Nam.

First, let’s look at the facts about the economy. Is it really as bad as the media reports to us? Has unemployment been at an all time low for the past 8 years? Why did the Dow drop so drastically this past week? Was the foreclosure tragedy avoidable?

The Unemployment Issue: We can answer that question for ourselves by asking three questions.

1. Are you one of the unemployed, how long, and are you and your family struggling financially more than you were 8 years ago?

2. Do you personally know someone, or a lot of people, who are unemployed and struggling more than 8 years ago?

3. Are you employed and doing worse, the same, or better than 8 years ago?
a) If you are employed and doing okay, do you care about the numbers reported to be unemployed?
b) Are you are employed and doing okay, and don’t care about the numbers reported to be unemployed?

The Dow Thing: What’s up with Wall Street really? Was that big Fall from Grace real or just a scare tactic — the machinations of puppet masters yanking our chains, inflicting fear and panic? How do we find out? Here’s a clue…

1) What happens to the money that is lost in the stock market? Does it just disappear into a black hole never to be found again?
Answer: Money never just disappears — it goes somewhere or rather to “someone”. Whom? Who is gaining from Wall Street losses? Especially concerning 401K losses. Remember, money never just disappears. Where is it going to — an incinerator? Not likely.

The key: Demand answers! Find out where your money went and to whom! And GET IT BACK! Yes. GET IT BACK!

For instance, our employees, i.e. “the government”, are just a little too quick to bail out big box companies like Lehman Brothers et al. The money they use to “help” these guys comes from — you guessed it — us. So if you lost money with these guys in the stock market, you lost again through your tax dollars. Or did they just run and print up a bunch of new money? Good question.

Where does that money come from to bail these guys out? Does it place our nation deeper into debt? Are we really in debt or are they just again, yanking our chains?
How is it that these consummate professional establishments did not see the crash coming and take steps to prevent it? Was that even a possibility?

But don’t think you’re gonna be a lone voice in the night — that will never work. You’ve got to demand answers in numbers. Communication. You know what to do. Get on the horn brothers and sisters.

The Foreclosure Mess: According the media, entire neighborhoods were forced from their homes, leaving communities of ghost towns all across the country. Real or hype?

Are you one of the victims of this foreclosure debacle? If so, how did that happen? Were you in over your head? Or, where you offered a deal you couldn’t refuse? Like, finally, realizing the American Dream.

The bottom line is that no one should be forced from their home because of a bogus contract deal. Those balloon payments should have been erased, obliterated, forgiven. It’s just paperwork. Those guys knew what they were doing –the mortgage and title companies, the banks.. and you know what?

They should have allowed people into those homes. Families need homes. We all need a decent place to live. That doesn’t mean we go out and purchase mansions we can’t afford. It means the market should never have skyrocketed like it did in the first place. What kind of country allows an industry to place “owning a home” beyond the reach of the majority of it’s citizens?

Here’s a tidbit: Our employees, i.e. “the government” makes homes and apartments affordable for foreign refugees, with housing assistance for apartments, and no downs on new homes, with reasonable monthly payments. They also provide clothing vouchers and food stamps and free medical care, and very often, small business grants, some starting at a hundred grand. Why?

Because, most likely our employees, i.e. “the government” made deals with their countries’ leaders for something or other, some natural resource for instance, in which our leaders personally stood to gain significantly … and do not be fooled, not you, and the majority of the people who made that money available for the trade off.

Or maybe, let’s play devil’s advocate here, maybe they were just being good samaritans and offering a place of refuge to people who had been displaced by their corrupt leaders. And if so, our tax dollars were put to good use, but it cost us. After all, our creed decries “Come all ye tired and hungry, or something like that…and find work or something or other…” They were just being true to the promise. But what about that promise applying to the people who put the money in the pot in the first place?

A home is a terrible thing to lose. And if the foreclosure thingy was a scam — it was the biggest and most vile, inhumane spectacle of greed and capitalizing in history. Predatory and savage.

What do you care about? Yourself? Your family? Your country? The planet?
All of the above?

Hear this then before you vote: Politics is just a title of a career. Politicians are type A “Alpha Dog” personalities. Glory seeking, power hungry, and historically, status quo “old money.” And what do we know about “old money”? A term known as “robber baron” comes to mind. And those guys adopted their ways from the “old money” before them, the “aristocrats”, the “monarchy”.

Labels and titles that are synonymous with Lords of the Land ruling over the peasants. Dreadfully poor people we remember from movies like “Please Sir, may I have some more soup?” And the response was, “More soup? More soup you ask? How dare you ask for more, you peasant!” Okay you get the picture.

People who identify with conservative republican ideology want to maintain the status quo, the haves vs the have nots. Us vs them. They may not even be aware of those deeply embedded beliefs. Because even if they are not truly among that group, yet, they believe one day they will be. And they want to get a little bit more from the pot than you. It all adds up. It’s selfish actually. It’s conditioning that comes from the old Survival of the Fittest theory.

They may not be able to acknowledge that positive change and prosperity for all of us is the only way the world has evolved to this modern day environment.

Lifting up or rather giving a hand up to those “have nots” is progress. Including them opens the door for a bounty of ingenuity and a fortitude of not just an untapped mind source, but able bodies. Without them, in tip top shape, functioning and blossoming, the wheels stop turning and Empire’s Fall.

Bleeding heart liberals are defined as people who want the world to work for everyone. They are considered dreamers, idealists, foolhearted. Not staunch business people who know how to get the job done.

However, a few of our former public servants fell into this category, because they recognized the truth about all for one and one for all. Lincoln seized this concept when the opportunity presented itself. FDR grasped it firmly. JFK promoted it profoundly. And Bill Clinton, yes Bill Clinton, “attempted” to implement it, but with gorilla sized restraints. They brought down King Kong with those restraints.

And if you’re still not convinced about the dichotomy of these two groups, recall what George W. Bush so indignantly retorted about the actions of those “Democrats”: “We need to stop them from just giving money away to these people.”

Who were “these people” he was referring to? Well, you, your neighbors, your children, your parents. And that money he was referring to is “your” money– that you put into the pot– and at the first opportunity, Mr. Bush, the Conservative Republican, convinced Congress to sign it all over to him, to go and make more money for himself and his posse, by taking over another country’s only source of wealth. At least that’s what it all looks like when you stack up the real facts. Could be wrong.

Here’s a prediction to watch for: Iraq will be a third world country within 10 years. Genocide will reign, disease, wars, devastation. Just like Africa. And we will share the blame.

Like the late Mr. Reagan stated waay back in 1980, “If you don’t have at least 11 million dollars, you don’t count.” Which may have meant that you will not be first in their “trickle down” Reaganomic theory.

We learned that they meant what they said, and we never saw the trickle, and realized late that we couldn’t live off the trickle if we had gotten it. So we stood up and we made our choice. We made a change and for eight years, everybody got a little piece of the pie. The rich got richer, the middle class prospered, and the poor moved up an inch.

But we got distracted by Bill’s sex life for some reason and decided that was more important than our wallets and our well-being.

And we let the dogs out again, the status quo, the conservatives, the robber barons, and on 9/11, they went “Boo!” and we jumped out of our skins, out of our minds, went trembling and shaking back to our little peasant huts, at a time when we should have said, “We don’t think so!” And meant it.

We’ve been taught to laugh and shake our heads about dishonest politicians. We’ve been persuaded that “activists” are “troublemakers”. And they are, for politicians.

Are the days of marches and sit-ins over, passe? Simply because no one pays attention to them anymore? And if chads get stuck in crucial election booths over and over again, and if electorate votes, and biased Supreme Courts decide Presidents, what does that mean for the future of the popular, majority vote?

Is it innocent to believe that no person has the right to harm another person? Is it idealistic to not want another country to attack our nation, or that we should not attack another country for their natural resources?

Policing the world doesn’t mean stealing and bullying. It was designed for the stabilization of peace among nations. True, human beings always seem to want what someone else has and that will not change. There will always be foes. Whether it’s the Russians, the Germans, the Koreans, the Iranians, or Intelligent Squids from another planet.

Nevertheless, our military, the defense department that we pay for, should never be used for personal ambitions. They serve our country for our safety, for our survival, at the cost of their own lives. Therefore, anything else is criminal.

Who should be our next president? McCain or Obama? Do we stick to the status quo, or do we make history and take a chance on one of the have nots? And is Obama really one of the have nots, or is he …

a sly and daring ploy by the status quo, to maintain the status quo, knowing we are too brainwashed and conditioned to step away from the program? Are they betting that we are too racist and stuck in our fearful ways to allow change and will go with the same policies that have tormented and divided this nation for 8 years.

Have we learned our lesson about standing up and making a change, because, we did it once and we eventually paid heavily for it, in many many ways that only history may reveal the real truth.

The two presidential candidates we have divide us, just as the two parties divide us. Polar opposites.
Look at this recent News Release:

Obama: McCain slow to challenge Wall St salaries
DUNEDIN, Fla. – Democrat Barack Obama said Wednesday that Republican John McCain may criticize Wall Street executives now but failed to speak out against their huge salaries a year ago, and still backs policies that favor the wealthy over working families.

He accused McCain of acting like a populist now that Wall Street’s meltdown threatens the economy. But Obama said that disguises McCain’s true philosophy: “The idea that if we give more and more to those with the most, prosperity will trickle down to everyone else.”

In fact, McCain has criticized executives’ pay packages several times in previous years, including at a Senate hearing in 2003 as head of the Commerce Committee. “We continue to see many examples of enormous pay packages awarded by boards to top executives,” he said then and warned: “These kinds of excesses are making a lot of Americans angry.”

WASHINGTON – Almost up until the time it was taken over by the government in the nation’s financial crisis, one of two housing giants paid $15,000 a month to the lobbying firm of John McCain’s campaign manager, a person familiar with the financial arrangement says.

The money from Freddie Mac to the firm of Rick Davis is on top of more than $30,000 a month that went directly to Davis for five years starting in 2000.

The $30,000 a month came from both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the other housing entity now under government control because of the nation’s financial crisis.

WASHINGTON – McCain Accuses Obama of being an instrument of corrupt power in machine, former Head of Fannie Mac

Bibble Babble Babylon. Are we the victims of one self-serving political party playing good cop bad cop? Are we being punkd?

Why haven’t we demanded more political parties? Why have we never trusted any other group of United States Citizens to have the intelligence to run this nation, but rich, middle aged white men? Most all other major countries have stepped up and allowed a woman to lead them. And they survived, and thrived.

Why is Obama the first African American Man we have taken into serious consideration? And where does that leave African America women, or Chinese American, Japanese American, Latin American men and women born in this country?

Are there no intelligent persons in any of those groups capable of leading our business, this nation? And why have they made the process so expensive that the rest of us simply cannot even consider it? And worse, why have we allowed that?

We have to keep in mind that both our current candidates are career politicians. Neither will risk their political careers to offend the “established” order of things. With that in mind, what can we expect McCain or Obama to do to ensure that all United States citizens, not just the rich, not just the middle class, not just the poor will feel safe, be well, and prosper?

If the damage is as great as the media portrays, neither man will be able to work miracles in the next four years. It will require patience on our part, faith, and the lack of fear to stand up and be heard, over and over again, until we get them to listen.

Activists are not troublemakers, they are concerned citizens. Let’s all become actively active in our business — this nation. And not let anyone call us extremists, radicals, diehards, or crazies; and if they do, ask them what are they doing for their country? Sleepwalking their way into deception?

Only history will reveal if the past eight years was as destructive as they seem. Or, history may show that Bush and Cheney were geniuses. Then again, those Intelligent Squids could show up in their high tech space ships and take over everything.

Choose carefully in November. Think outside of the box. Care about your neighbors, about the vulnerable among us. Think about what is right for our nation. And how we will affect the world. The world is looking to us with questions and wide eyes. We need to provide an answer of hope.

Ultimately, we need to take responsibility for our choices and what we allow our leaders to do in the name of our country.

And remember, violence is never an answer. If we are intimidated by other’s, that is when — and we should have learned this by now — to stand even more firm to our convictions. We have numbers on our side.

We, the People, are the largest Army on Earth.

Earlier this year, a state-run program advertised an opportunity for residents to apply for affordable universal health care. They made it clear that everyone may not be eligible, but the program would conduct a type of lottery for participants.

As it turned out, it was just a way for a local university to accummulate names and phone numbers for surveys and studies.

Is this a flagrant violation of our privacy, an abuse of state-run agencies? The promise of health care when there was no such program is fraudulent.

The honest and right thing would have been to advertise that, if you apply, you may not become a participant of the program, but your information will most definitely be used to conduct these studies and surveys, for solicitation. The choice is yours. Apply and get health care, or not, and get solicited either way.

Bells would have gone off and most people are aware enough these days to know better. It still should have been a personal choice.

To expose the culprits would require an investigative process that the average person does not have time for. But something needs to be done. These growing assaults are not just out of line, they are crossing the line.

Here’s a call to the real investigative journalists out there. If they do their jobs, we can start to eliminate these kinds of offenses. People are going too far with being deceptive and intrusive. They are violating our Constitution. Fraud, Abuse, and Invasion of Privacy are crimes.
